Does anyone have a journal to drive the callout number from the top assembly down into each component after a parts list has been created?
I haven['t written any code but would like to lean
Would also like to do the same with quantity
Using NX 9 currently

In theory you could query the assembly file for the callout and quantity information then assign these as part attributes to the component. However, the result would not be associative. If/when the assembly changed, the part attribute information would be out of synch.

Yes I understand I would have to run it at each job, we lock our BOM's when the job is complete, then we would run the journal, then work on the prints
Would anyone be able to help me with this, I have never written a journal, just recorded them
